Recycling the Past - Building the Future

Our operations are dedicated to the preservation of our environment. MCC, Inc. believes we should leave everything better than when we found it! By recycling and reusing materials as a sustainable practice we reduce the world's carbon footprint every day! The MCC, Inc. family specializes in the following recycling practices:

  • Recycling residential asphalt shingles back into our hot-mix asphalt
  • Converting our operations to utilize compressed natural gas
  • Converting portions of our trucking fleet to run on cleaner CNG
  • Recycling used concrete and asphalt pavement back into our materials
  • Sourcing and utilizing products that are environmentally friendly
  • Air and water quality diligence to ensure we protect our local environment for years to come

What are the benefits of using recycled material?

  • The recycling process is greener and more environmentally friendly as it reduces the world's carbon footprint, saves on oil, and construction waste won't end up at the local landfill.
  • It's more cost effective for projects than creating new materials. Taxpayers benefit from recycled materials as it reduces the cost for project. The National Asphalt Paving Associations estimates that taxpayers save about 1.8 billion dollars a year through recycled asphalt alone.
  • Recycled concrete is far more cost-friendly for projects and taxpayers than newly mined aggregate materials.
  • Recycled materials still contain high-quality aggregate and enhance the strength of your construction project.

Environmentally Friendly Concrete Products

As leaders in the industry, MCC, Inc. knows the top products that will create high-quality projects for any job. So, what are some of the products we use?

  • Fly Ash - A byproduct from coal combustion in electric power plants. Fly Ash is used in many of our concrete mix designs and increases the strength and durability of your concrete.
  • CEMSlag - A byproduct of recycled steel production. Also referred to as Slag Cement, this product is used in a variety of mix designs to increase the strength, durability, and performance of your concrete.
  • Limestone Cement - this blended cement has a higher limestone content resulting in a product that reduces our carbon footprint by 10 percent, while still increasing the resilience and sustainability of your concrete project.
